Let them eat Eggs!
Just in time for Easter, the "nation's top nutrition advisory panel has decided to drop its caution about eating cholesterol-laden food, a move that could undo almost 40 years of government warnings about its consumption."
The committee admits that cholesterol in the diet is not a concern.   You know what that means.  Eggs!  Shrimp! Lobster!
Honestly, I thought we had cleared this up a while ago, but apparently, not so.
So why is this a big deal? Other than the fact that we can eat eggs with wild abandon?
The Washington Post explains, "¬†the change on cholesterol comes from the influential Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee, the group that provides the scientific basis for the ‚ÄúDietary Guidelines.‚ÄĚ That federal publication has broad effects on the American diet, helping to determine the content of school lunches, affecting how food manufacturers advertise their wares, and serving as the foundation for reams of diet advice." *
"Content of school lunches" caught my eye.  Ok, so did the reams of diet advice, but school lunches are about to change.
Eggs are back baby. Hard boiled. Scrambled. Egg Noodles. Eggs in cake. Eggs. Eggs. Eggs.
