Castles Knights & Dragons June 19 - 23, 2017 | Ages 4 - 5 | Cost $140
Lords and Ladies! Travel back in time and experience life during the Middle Ages and Renaissance. Try your hand at heraldry and design a castle with your peers. Discover medieval mythology and magical monsters throughout the museum’s collection.
Clay Creations June 19 - 23, 2017 | Ages 11 - 13 | Cost $140
What could be more fun than transforming wet clay into an object of your own design? The art of ceramics combines technical skill with imagination. Learn how to raise a form on the potter’s wheel and practice a variety of hand-building techniques. Make boxes, bowls, and cups, or sculpt animal and human forms that are realistic or abstract. Apply glazes to give your work its finished appearance. Find inspiration in the museum’s outstanding collection of ceramic art. Materials fee is included in price.
Star Warriors: June 26 - 30, 2017 | Ages 6 - 7 | Cost $250
In a galaxy far, far away… is life really that different? Find out by comparing the plants, animals, and biomes of the Star Wars universe with those of our own world! Discover what makes a "tauntaun" so well suited to its habitat, and design your own out of this world creature. Investigate the science of "Cloud City" and even examine real life crystals to determine which ones would give your "lightsaber" your favorite hue. Don your Jedi gear—it’s time to discover the science behind the fantasy!
