Hear the clang of the hammer and the sound of wood being cut as our joyner and blacksmith demonstrate their skills. The Blacksmiths are actually making things for Pennsbury Manor... that is totally amazing. To think, when William Penn was alive, he could not go to Lowes to get his nails, he employed a Blacksmith to make them. Take the kids to learn all about it. Bring History to life.
Living History Theater Sundays 1-4pm Pennsbury Manor, Morrisville, Bucks County
After a long winter in Philadelphia, William Penn and his family are back at Pennsbury. Take a tour of his house and listen in as William Penn, wife Hannah, daughter Letitia, household servants and others from the local community discuss a wide range of issues. We took our girls age 6 and 7 and they really loved it. The tour guides are knowledgable and kind. The kids especially loved the animals and the Blacksmith Shop. (The blacksmith has some great puzzle games for kids)
